Riggs Motorsports Starts Hectic 2022 Speedweeks Tonight with Tanner English at Volusia

(NORRIS CITY, ILLINOIS) The Riggs Motorsports team is about ready to embark on what will be a hectic month of racing to get their 2022 season started, as all three drivers - Tanner English, Jason Riggs, and Jack Riggs - are scheduled to wheel their respective #81 machines in the Sunshine State from January 20-February 19. Tanner will kick off his year later tonight in the 3rd Annual ‘Sunshine Nationals’ opener at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. A $10,000 top prize will be on the line tonight, January 20 at the Daytona Beach-area speedplant in the first of three World of Outlaws Late Model Series programs this weekend. The Benton, Kentucky ace will look to get off to a hot start on the national tour, as he plans to follow the series full-time this year in hopes of garnering Rookie of the Year honors.

After the trio of $10,000 to win shows this weekend at VSP, Tanner also plans to enter Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida and East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida before returning to Volusia to close out “Speedweeks.” The annual running of the ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ will take place at Volusia Speedway Park from February 14-19 and four more World of Outlaws Late Model Series point races will be held that week. You can watch all of the action from Volusia LIVE on DIRTVision, while the Lucas Oil shows will be streamed LIVE on MAVTV Plus.

In addition to Tanner’s busy “Speedweeks” schedule, Jason Riggs also plans to unload his #81 Riggs Motorsports XR1 Rocket in the eight Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdowns held at Bubba Raceway Park and East Bay Raceway Park from January 31-February 12. His younger brother Jack Riggs will also make his Florida debut driving his #81J entry in a trio of Crate Racin’ USA Series specials at East Bay Raceway Park on February 3-5.
