Coming to green.
Lap 10: 21 21jr 32 3s 6k
Lap 15: 21jr to lead
Lap 17 yellow for Rebholz. Top 5: Moyer Jr., Pierce, Moyer, Shirley, Kloos.
Rain closing in...race to halfway. I don't see it going the distance.
Lap 20 yellow for rain.
Called off.
We would've at least had an official race if Plumber hadn't decided to water the track. Fitting end to the night.
Is the race official?
So now what? Besides the fact I still have 90 bucks in my pocket.
Should be official. Let's see how Driggers screws this up.
Boswell sunday and Jacksonville on Tue. Peoria fits in Monday very well
go ahead and sign the checks......these guys need to be paid.
I agree mud
no body wins when the rain falls......would be hard to reschedule.......I as a fan would never object if the drivers left with some money in their pockets.
Here's what I would do: Add a provision to the rules for features that start, but don't get to half way. If a feature is rained out before halfway, declare a winner, but cut the points by half.
Just call it. You can't just have everyone come back on a open date and run the last 20 laps. Oh wait. It is UMP
1 too many support classes with weather becoming a factor.
The late model A-main was very good with racing all the way throughout the field and was shaping up to be very good until the end. Traffic management by the top 3 was probably going to determine the winner. Without traffic being a factor it appeared as if Pierce was the fastest car. Sure wish they could have run the full 60 laps.
It's been more than a decade since we've attended an event at Peoria and I was pleasantly surprised with the facilities and the racing. Concessions are of good quality and moderately priced. The only thing we had any concerns with was the parking area. There was some areas that a 4 wheel drive vehicle could get stuck and it appeared as if some had been stuck.
All in all a good experience.
