I was thinking the same thing
$2000 to win is absurd. $4000 should be the minimum, just charge more admission. To say they want to keep it local is not quite true with the number of higher paying races mixed in. Traveling from Ohio to Illinois would not be logical for 2K. Of course this is basically a local series with half of the races almost being at either Oakshade or Eldora. Two locations that can draw the largest crowds for a late model race. This series is what? twenty years old now and still paying 2K?
they shoud'nt be racing out side ohio makes no sense and clayton you say that about any series
The ALMS was started by Gene Frankert and Earl Baltes and wa designed for the weekend racer. Now the series pays the same money and travels way too far for the weekend guy. Now to much travel expense and miles for me !
I wonder how many cars they get for 2,000? That does seem really low for a series, but I guess if they get decent car counts, it works out.
ok then why would u run kankakee and butler the same night? And then hartford running the same (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) night? makes alot of since!
