no qualifying and passing point SUCKS and is completely STUPID.
I'm thinkin you'll be at the back of pack with that becauce most people would rather watch racing!
for anyone interested, this was top 5 finish tonight @ Corn Belt Clash: A-main: West Union 1. Chad Simpson 2. Billy Moyer 3. Andy Eckrich 4. Mitch McGarth 5. Jason Feger
Who in the heck can figure this cluster out of passing points. Need to know where Superman will start. Tks.!!
UNION, KY (August 7, 2015) – The 33rd Annual Sunoco North/South 100 Presented by Lucas Oil kicked off on Friday Night at Florence Speedway. A total of 62 entries participated in 12 heat races for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned event.
In round one heat race winners were Dustin Linville, Jason Jameson, Steve Francis, Jared Landers, Randy Weaver, and first-time Florence visitor Chris Ferguson.
In round two heat race winners were Tim McCreadie, Jimmy Owens, Justin Rattliff, Scott Bloomquist, Steve Casebolt, and Jonathan Davenport.
After Friday Night’s 12 heat race finishes bases on passing points the top 16 locked into Saturday Night’s $50,000 to win Sunoco North South 100 are:
Jimmy Owens, Steve Francis, Tim McCreadie, Jonathan Davenport, Jason Jameson, Scott Bloomquist, Jared Landers, Chris Ferguson, Justin Rattliff, Dale McDowell, Don O’Neal, Steve Casebolt, Josh Rice, Cody Mahoney, Eddie Carrier Jr., and Mike Marlar.
Yeah, you're correct about Pondy, that was an Independent Racing Series win.
And I probably could have worded myself differently about the big trips. Jason and crew definitely put the miles in. MACS expanded their racing area (by a lot) and that was during the same time when Jason knocked out three titles in a row --- and of all things, he only had 5 races wins, so that says two things, he didn't miss (m)any events and finished well.
I was leaning more towards Jason puzzled many fans why he didn't take a stab at a few Crown Jewel races. I believe many thought he was ready.
Passing points thing don't make sence linville wins 1st heat starts last in his other heat passes 4 cars but isn't in top 16 locked in but in other heats jameson starts last and wins then his other heat he starts 1st loses 4 spots but he is in so you must get penalized for starting up front winning with nobody to pass

I believe this is the same points chart they use, you do the math.
Can anyone tell me what the light was under the rear of Pierces 32 ? As the car would come through the corner the light would light up the ground under the car?
That's because Linville started second in his first heat race to win so he only received 60.76 points for the first heat win because he only passed one car. He started 8th and finished 8th in his second heat race. He didn't pass any cars so he received 36.76 points. So that's a total of 97.25 passing points for the two races. He had the chance to pass cars in his second heat race but didn't. That's why he's not in the North/South yet. He's starting up in the front row in his B-Main so he should make the North/South.
Jameson started 11th in his first heat race and won by passing 10 cars so he received the most passing points of the night at 76.60 . His second heat race, he started first and finished 4th so he received 47 points for a total of 123.6 passing points.
