are you sure that isn't ronnie johnson from chattanooga? same number design,same j and j steel sponsor he had then,had cars
that looked like that.still has some at his shop. are you sure?that 5 has a patent on itby ronnie,if you notice the middle loop
of the 5 is shaped like a j.thats ronnies patent.i could be wrong,but i dont think so,known ronnie a long time.
slick sells didnt have a vega,lunsford and mincey did.look at the lunsford vega pic closer,that is a mustang 2 that slick drove then.with
a chevy motor.hated that car cause i hated fords,lol.that was a short lived era.used to see all those at rome,dixie and west atlanta speedway
now seven flags speedway.leon sells at that time had a mustang 2.then went back to the camaro.
this has got to be one if not the best collections of pics i have ever seen.i have some very old ones

between 30-40 years. even have some harold fryar skeeter pics from the 60's.cant scan em.thanks for
these so much.this is when late models were the stuff.i was just a kid and it takes me back.im 40 now lol.thanks

Thanks doesn't say enough..........................!! My wife & I visited the Nascar Hall of Fame this weekend, and it got me to thinking. If it wasn't for folks like you, look at the memories, history, hertiage, etc.,etc. that would be forgotten & lost. It's really amazing that so much info was recorded & saved, from back in the day since the technology wasn't anything like it is today.
