I see the LOLM's will be at I 70 in Odessa, MO July 14th. I watched the WOO Sprints there this year. It sure looks like this track could put on a good show.

Who races for 2nd, 5th, 10th? There's also only 24-28 teams that it matters. Why does it matter to you?
Its matters to me because alot more race for 5th and 10th place than they do for the win. Top heavy purses are killing the sport. When you put on a 20k or 30k to win show with less than 30 cars I find it actually embarrassing.
As a fan I am paying top dollar to watch this 'big race' that really is only a big race for the winner. 3 heat races is lame. We are losing the local racers.
Take a listen to what Boom Briggs says on Suave Talk. He gets it!
People would be shocked by how many cars aren’t realistically racing for the win. If 40 cars are at a race, 10 are racing for the win. Another 10 are racing for a good run, the rest are racing to make the show. The “rest” is what sanctioning bodies should be worried about. Those guys are being pushed out of the sport. All these big Lucas races are doing helping the more funded teams get more money. Just look at that Lernerville purse, what kind of dog sh!t is that payout? 2600 for 11th and 2000 to start. 2000 might cover the basic expenses for a local team to run that weekend. Otherwise it’s pretty much an insult.
I’m amazed that year in year out the purses never change throughout. Everyone in charge seems to think it’s some chicken sh!t move or something or it’s some tradition that can never be messed with. Reminds me a lot like baseball traditions
Not sure why they schedule Macon. Especially in April. When it does rain out, they scrap the event and make no attempt at rescheduling. They could easily reschedule in July when they return to Tri City. No problem rescheduling their May races when they rain out. They've pulled this crp the last few years. Give the venue to WoO if you don't want it.
Confused by the multiple dates some of these tracks get. With the thousands of tracks across the country, they can't schedule something new? I've heard that their are tracks begging for dates.
Boom Briggs... lol
