Cars are deff. Diff ole madden said the rocket was totaly diff and it took a little learning to figure out what they wanted...
Stickler and Longhorn and bilsteins work well. The xr-1 is capable to do the same thing. Magic doesn't happen over night with setting up a car.
DoD tweeted an article about it like it was some big news he was running Longhorns next week
I know I good well known driver that didn't like the xr1s..he said he didn't like the way they drive (steer)..
Next up on chassis roulette........Rayburn
Kind of shows you that what works for one chassis to make it fast and consistent, does not necessarily work for another chassis.
I do not think a rocket steers near as good as a longhorn. Just from what I’ve been told by numerous people not because I have driven either or
So Strickler is running Longhorns with PCC decals on it and one of the Rockets is for sale...
Apparently strickler and PCC came to some terms on the longhorn kyle already had. That being said one of the rockets will be a backup until there new longhorn is ready in March per DoD.
Interesting enough on the drive home on DoD they said Nick Allen had purchased one of the rockets from PCC, however during the broadcast last night on dirtvision they said Allen was renting the ride but he didn't run it last night.
Hummm, team valvoline, owens, strickler, are any of the new xr -1's running that we'll ? Bronson has shown signs. Maybe they've made a chassis change that no one has got a reliable set up for yet. The 1 car is struggling you can see there not caring speed coming out of the corner and down the straightaways. Easy bay , the guys preparing the track had issues all week it seemed and if you didn't get a good lap in you had to take chances in your heat race. Will see if the rockets get faster as the week continues at volusia.
I heard last week longhorn was shutdown for a couple weeks due to the virus outbreak in the shop. Tmac kinda touched on that last night when he mentioned Bob being in rough shape.
there is a good interview about it all on flo racing
Looks like kyle was right about chassis change. Congrats to them!
