The Living Legend's Hall of Fame Induction. (2001)
Thank you all and especially Papermen for posting such great memories. Please keep up the great work!
Just wanted to share this with everyone. Mr. Shane Worley of Worley Monuments & Granite
created these Monuments for Buck Simmons then donated them. I can not thank him enough
for honoring my best friend.
that's the neatest monument i've ever seen!!!
As a fan of Buck's thank you.
A scratch-built Jeff Purvis model I found on a place called Randy Ayers NASCAR Modeling Forum. We used to have an avid poster in the Tailgate Section who builds many old dirt racers. I think his username was Lukes57 or something of the like. He made references about 'Gator' tho I never quite understood who exactly Gator was - not that it mattered. Luke was one of the very bright spots of the old pre-tailgate section here. I always enjoyed his craft, writings and contributions.
Not sure how I ended up remembering the place and it's been years since I've frequented the forum. Ironically, the Purvis model was just posted today.
Maybe not topical to the letter of the thread being a model and all but I think you can cut me some slack.

Soldier Field week night show… too bad those $15.00 jalopies didn't draw any big crowds. I wonder where those guys parked their stacker trailers and Peterbilts?
