You seem to have watched same race I did.
Had a guy back home that ran a similar line, but even worse, he diamond the track. Couldn't get under him on entry and no room to go around the outside. Was blisteringly fast off the bottom after basically stopping mid-corner. Tim Hitt said he hated getting behind Frank Wilson. When everyone else was running store bought/built motors, he was running a 5.7 rod 406. Won plenty of races with that set-up. But then big money came in and everyone went all aluminum...but I digress...

has mark fired hud yet, anyone know?
First off when the roles were reversed in the heat race the very same night when Denny got a big run on Hudson like lap 5 or 6 he caught him in turn 1 and he lifted because Hudson moved down in turn 1. So how can you expect Dennis to lift in the feature. He led the whole feature by half a straightaway. No one ever sniffed his bumper until that restart. He wasn’t holding anyone up. He was the leader and was driving away after every restart. The kid admitted to being a dipstick and feeling 2 inches tall for what he did. Not sure why his fans can’t see it.

Not a track around any better than Fairbury.
That was dirt track racing at its finest must have been because there was actually moisture in the track.
