Listen to the guy doing late models at 34 Raceway tonight, this is how you call a race. I don’t know his name but the guy is a real pro, remember announcers you are not the show.

They are the show between on track action and rain delays/track maintenance
JayD is correct!
But a good announcer can add to the show
Cedar Lake sprint car announcer tonight musta had too many energy drinks, put him on mute immediately.
that's johnny gibson the WOO announcer. has announced over 2000 WOO shows alone.
Apparently he is shut it all down believer and well ... take a look https://twitter.com/gibvoice?lang=en. I like his announcing but omg.
Johnny Gibson will be in the hall. No one can match that voice even with umteen energy drinks!
back to the original post:
who was the announcer at 34 raceway last night?
People here throw the word bigot around like they actually are smart enough to know the definition and perceptive enough to know one when they see one.
I personally don't particularly like Gibson's announcing style but my opinion means as much to the WoO's as everyone else who posts here, which is zilch!
The finest track announcer in the country works one track only. His name is Scott Lee Daloisio.
I absolutely HATE announcers who yell and scream and they can enhance or detract from the spectator experience. If every time the announcer says something into the microphone it annoys some or all of the spectators it's really not to the advantage of the promoter to keep him or her around. That's what makes Daloisio as good as he is. He's not the least annoying, he's just very good.
a couple of announcers from eastern iowa I always enjoyed: Tom Lathen and Jerry Mackey...
Jeff Broeg was from eastern Ia and the best in his day. Does he still do any announcing?
Sounds like you have not done your proper homework. What does covid response have to do with race? And as far as the other goes .. 5 minutes on google and you can figure out the other stuff has been hijacked for other purposes than those that are being portrayed. Facts over fiction.
Broeg does not do any regular announcing, but does fill in from time to time at various tracks. The announcer at 34 last night may have been ok for TV, but could barely be heard from the grandstands and did very little to acknowledge the reason this race exists.
