Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Week 20 Preview

ADAIRSVILLE, GA - The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Week 20 schedule of events are listed below. There will be five Week 20 races with one on Friday Night, three on Saturday night, and one on Sunday afternoon. There will be two Double Features with Week 19 Make-Up Races and one Week 5 Make-Up Race.

Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS will host a Week 5 Make-Up Race on Friday night. Camden Speedway in Camden, TN and Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN will have Double Feature Races on Saturday night. The first feature at each track will be a Week 19 Make-Up Race, and the second feature will be the regularly scheduled Week 20 race.

The 2020 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Modified Sportsman Championship is still up for grabs. The top three drivers, Scottie Hiett of Wedowie, AL, the defending National Champion Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL, and Eric Hickerson of Linden, TN, are separated by three points.

Hiett leads with 547 points, Riddle is second with 545 points, and Hickerson is third with 544 points. There are just too many Week 20 scenarios to bring the title chase into clear focus. Even the fourth-place driver, Seth Johnston of Santa Fe, TN, has a mathematical chance to win the title.
