ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS drove the Villa South Special to his second 50-point win of the season on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS to take over sole possession of first-place in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Division National point standings after Week 2 of Weekly Racing Series competition.

Scarbrough is at the top of the list with 100 points. There are four drivers tied for the second spot with 99 points. Scott Ladner picked up his first win of the season on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS to bring his point total up to 99, as did Shannon Davis on Saturday night at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN.

The defending Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Late Model National Champion Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS finished second on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in the Billy Riels Racing Special, and the 2019 Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Sportsman National Champion Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL finished second on Thursday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL. Lee and Mitchell also have 99 points.

Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN and Dustin Harris of Flintville, TN are tied for the sixth spot in the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Weekly National standings with 97 points apiece. Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS and Seth McCormack of Muscle Shoals, AL are tied for eighth with 96 points. Braden Mitchell of Russellville, AL rounds out the top ten with 95 points.

Also taking Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Week 2 Late Model wins were Christian Hanger of Winchester, TN at North Alabama Speedway on Thursday night, Patrick Daniels of Dallas, TX on Friday night at Heart O Texas Speedway in Waco, TX, and Ben Brocato of Muscle Shoals, AL on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway.

Dustin Rollins took the victory on Saturday night at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN and Ashley Newman of Ripley, TN was the winner on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS. Oakley Johns of Hohenwald, TN took the win on Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, TN and Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL was victorious on Saturday night at Tri-County Speedway in Flomaton, AL.

Other Saturday night winners were Adam Ray at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Cole Cameron of Hattiesburg, MS at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS, Steven Jernigan of Milton, FL at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL, and Monte Skinner of Saraland, AL at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS.
