Wins $15k crate race at Bulls Gap from starting 10th
Zzzzzzzz ...
There's a good blog on DoD about limiting Crate purses. What was supposed to be an affordable way to get into LM racing is turning into pay to win and drawing ringers that aren't even Crate racers. https://www.dirtondirt.com/blog.php?id=562
What the heck did they thing was going to happen. Some of these guys do race for a living. I'm surprised you don't see more slm guys showing up with a crate motor in there slm when there's a big purse.
What's the problem? FastTrack was originally created around the idea that you remove your super engine and put the crate in then go race. Not a beginners class. As long as the guys legal i welcome the competition. If a fifteen year old kid that can't handle sombody passing him has every right to race for fifteen grand in a super jimmy Owens has every right to race for fifteen grand in a crate
Did you read the link?
Anyways, congrats to Jimmy Owen on beating a bunch of amateurs in a B league division.

Just like that no talent AJ Foyt goes out and wins a USAC midget race the has the nerve to go win in USAC stocks, sprints, big cars, the Daytona 500, Indy 500's and then picks on Enzo Ferrari and wins LeMans....no talent poser.
The guys whining because he won are the guys that have been bragging for 20 years they won the kart race in Pigeon Forge on the "fast" 2 seater karts. Never been in a race car in their life and if they were they were in the way.
