Shepp will be fine.
I think Bshepp will get back up front but I just think other guys are getting faster and faster
When the competition is as close as it is nowadays and if your off just a couple of 10ths it can make a big difference in winning to lets say finishing 10th, 15th. Look how bad of a start Davenport has gotten off to this year. He's was talking of not running the lucas tour after the last night at Ocala.
Davenport is looking at the 3 50k races around the nascrap dirt ovals. If Eldora does what everybody is saying for 2021, double events, there is going to be huge incentives to not run a tour this year.
As for shep, he'll be fine. Rocket has used florida as a test session for something new in the past and it won't surprise me if that's what is going on.
He wasn't the same rocketshep he has been in the past in fla. He's up against some dam good young talent these days. We'll see if they can keep up...
Once he's back in the shallow end with the WoO he'll be back on top.
I was glad to see some different drivers get their turn in the sun during the Lucas speed weeks. It sure did matter how you qualified in most cases. B Shepp had some real good competition for sure. However, I expect him to be up front most of the time starting this up coming week. History is on my side/smile
He was also one of the winningest drivers on Lucas Last year. I'm thinking he'll be fine, Volusia and eastbay have been different this year than years past so you seen alot of new faces up front. It's not like they haven't had speed they just haven't been able to tie it all together yet
Not a JD fan but did we forget he just took $45k on 3 wins and a bonus last month? Along with a 2nd, 3rd and 2nd.
