IMO it’s just a f*ck job to Arizona. Just wrong from where I sit.
And Wrg wonders why?
Nah, they probably could care less.
Woo torpedoed the Wild West Shootout.
While Im glad Ill get another chance to watch the supers, i don think it will last but one year. I dont think they will get enough fans to foot the bills!
Who they going to have? Pierce, Don Shaw, Mars, Terry Phillips and Chris Simpson?
McGrath, Sorenson, maybe Birky?
Spatola went this year and did well. Maybe more illinois guys go?
It’s opposite ends of the whole country. You should be happy you have choices. Some of you would gripe if you were handed money and it wasn’t in the denominations you preferred. Do we pay attention to Arizona any other time of the year? Not too many threads about the hotbed of racing down there. Geez!
Mr Bedford IN, (where lm get neutered to be crates)
I attend the Wild West Shootout. Thank you very much.
I'm not sure what Arizona in April has to do with this event? It's had its place for years and it's getting stepped on. The outlaws went from piggy backing on it to spitting on it.
Any chance that the race out west tries to get Lucas Oil to sanction their race?
I wouldn't expect any Illinois guys to support this event unless they see it as a vacation and take the family to enjoy the down time. It takes more than a day to get there from central Illinois. If they were up for that kind of travel, they would be going to Florida and unfortunately, very few do that anymore.
I don't really see the big deal. Yeah, a few WoO guys have gone in the past but their are a lot of National event competitors that don't run a tour that don't bother to support the Arizona race. Don't see why a dozen touring WoO racers would make that much difference.
It was only a matter of time until the WWSO’s insistence on staying unsanctioned would bite them. Just happened to be the WoO that scheduled over them first. Once East Bay is no longer an option and they have to restructure their speedweeks Lucas probably will too.
It will be interesting to see where Tim McCreadie races that week. Will he go to the Chili Bowl which we know he loves or will he go to Volusia, a place he is very good at and a possible $30,000 not to mention 3 nights to test before the Lucas season kicks off the next week.
The WOO is screwing themselves little by little. Take the blue 1 car and the team zero cars out of it and they have a group of regional racers at best!! Dillard and Erb are good but not national contenders.
I'm not sure Bloomquist is a national contender. Who knows what his plan is for 2021.
Re: post 34, Bayko was the WoO wanting to also sanction the Wild West Shootout last year, in addition to Vado?
