Street Stocks And Modifieds To Race For $2K In Winter Freeze XIII

SYLVANIA, GA – The top Street Stock and Modified drivers in the Southeast are headed to Screven Motor Speedway for Winter Freeze XIII this Thursday, Friday and Saturday to compete in a pair of $2,000-to-win $200-to-start Savannah Car Rentals 25-lap races Presented by Vaden Chevrolet, who will also giveaway a Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.

There will be a complete show on Friday night, and on Saturday afternoon. The on track action will begin with an Open Practice Session on Thursday night. Each 25-lap race for each Division on each night will pay the following: 1. $2,000; 2. $$1,000; 3. $700; 4. $550; 5. $500; 6. $435; 7. $375; 8. $350; 9. $325; 10. $300; 11. $275; 12. $250; 13. $225; 14-24. $200.

The Tow Money for non-qualifiers each night that start a B-Main Race is $25 and the Entry Fee each night in each Division is $75. Drivers that enter both nights in the Street Stock and Modified Divisions will be eligible for a drawing to win a Chevrolet Performance 602 Engine from Vaden Chevrolet of Savannah, GA. The drawing will take place on Saturday, February 4.

Among the top Modified entrants this weekend for the Winter Freeze XIII will be former NASCAR star Ken Schrader of Fenton, MO in the Federated Auto Parts/Vaden Chevrolet #9, former Crate Racin’ USA National Modified Champion Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL in the Morgan Machine #28.

Georgia Late Model Legend Mark Miner formerly of Stockbridge, GA, now living in Fenton, MO, will come out of retirement to drive the #7 Vaden Performance/Wren’s Body Shop Modified this weekend at Screven Motor Speedway in the Winter Freeze XIII.

The Thursday night Open Practice Session will have the gates opening at 4 p.m. with practice from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Friday, the Pit Gate opens at 2 p.m. with Racing scheduled for 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Pit Gate opens at 9 a.m. with Racing scheduled for 2 p.m.
