Eddington Banks A Grand In Mountain View Raceway Enduro

SPRING CITY, TN – Steve Eddington of Etowah, TN drove the Eddington Racing Ford Crown Victoria to a $1,000 victory Sunday afternoon in the 100-lap Trunk or Treat Enduro Race at Mountain View Raceway. Eddington led for a total of 65 laps and was the only car to complete all 100 laps.

The event brought the 2021 season to close at the facility voted by the fans as the #1 Race Track In Tennessee. William Beddingfield of Spring City, TN finished second a lap down to Eddington, and Greg Jolley of Loudon, TN was third. Billy Smith Jr. of Harrison, TN took the fourth spot and Andy Woods of Rockwood, TN rounded out the top five.

There was a total of 123 entrants from three different states in the Mountain View Raceway Pit Area for the Sunday afternoon show. Along with the Enduro cars, the Late Model, Sportsman, Beginner Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, B- Hobby, Thunder and Front-Wheel-Drive Divisions were also in action on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval.

Josh Collins of Knoxville, TN won his second straight 25-lap Late Model Feature Race in the Knoxville Diesel Rocket. Hayden Ownbey of Cleveland, TN took the second spot on the Ownbey Racing Special and the 2021 and three-time Mountain View Raceway Late Model Champion Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN was third in the Charlie’s Used Auto Parts CVR.

Zach Shannon of Wartburg, TN took the victory in the 20-lap Sportsman Main Event in the Shannon & Sons Trucking Longhorn, Sylvan Schuette of Blairsville, GA drove the Fast Fab Set Up & Design Longhorn to a second-place finish and the third spot went to D.J. Shannon of Wartburg, TN in the Shannon Racing Special.

Brad Cross of Cleveland, TN was Beginner Sportsman 20-lap Feature Race winner in the Cross Racing GRT. Adam Bishop of Riceville, TN was second in the Williams Concrete and Construction Warrior and Brady Lear of Brodhead, KY finished third driving the 859 Off-Road Lazer.

Ricky Tinch of Deer Lodge, TN drove the Tinch Racing Special to the win in the 15-lap Open-Wheel Modified Main Event. Wayne James of Cosby, TN took the second spot in the Steve’s Heat & Air Lightning and Kyle Shadden of Dayton, TN finished third in the Settle’s Dirtworkx.

Dylan Johnson of Dunlap, TN in the Johnson’s Farms Camaro won the 15-lap B-Hobby Feature Race. Jim Gilbert of Rossville, GA was second in the Rat Rod Chevelle and Jeff Profit of Crossville, TN was third in the Profit Racing Special.

Michael Fitzgerald of Dayton, TN won the 20-lap Thunder Main Event in the Fitzgerald Racing Special. Spencer Walton of Crossville, TN finished second in the Kennedy Siding Monte Carlo and Bobby Davenport of Crossville, TN drove the Davenport Racing Monte Carlo to a third-place finish.

Jacob Sharp of Crossville, TN won the 15-lap Front-Wheel-Drive A Feature Race in the Sharp Race Cars Chevrolet. Cody Rector of Crossville, TN finished second driving the Rector Racing Special and Dusty Branstetter of Crossville, TN took the third spot in the Branstetter Racing Special.

Nathaniel Brown of Deer Lodge, TN was the winner in the 15-lap Front-Wheel-Drive B Feature Race in the Jason Brown Honda. Michael Jones of Crossville, TN finished second driving the Jones Racing Special and Larry Patterson of Chattanooga, TN was third in the Patterson Racing Special.
