They should have a drivers license before getting into a slm jmo..
i dont have that big of a problem with age so much , but , if the driver is under 18 , then the parent has to take responsibility ....

Didn't a 12 year old just win a late model race? But yet he shouldn't even be driving the car? LOL... Now that's funny.
Ability and maturity are two different things. A very few kids under 16 are talented enough to win a legitimate super late model race. Even fewer are capable of processing and handling adversity behind the wheel at that age. 15-16 is fine, but dad and crew better be ready to take some lumps as well. You start taking money out of pockets no matter what age you are, there will be consequences.
Kinda surprised that track and sanction insurance company guidelines don’t address this stringently.
