Conley’s on Podium in Jim Dunn Qualifier; Prepare for Lucas Oil Visit to Atomic

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) was in the pit area at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday evening, April 15 for a 'Jim Dunn Qualifier.' The unsanctioned Super Late Model special boasted a $2,500 winner's check.

Rod Conley timed in second quickest during the qualifying session prior to running second in both his heat race and the caution-free main event. "Hot Rod," who fell back early in the feature distance, advanced back up to the runner-up position to trail only victor Jackie Boggs at the checkers. Hall of Famer Delmas Conley earned Fast Time honors during qualifying at the former K-C Raceway before finishing second in his heat race and third in the headliner. Next up for the CMI teams will be the annual running of the ‘Buckeye Spring 50’ on Thursday night, April 20 back at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. Delmas, Rod, and R.J. Conley are all slated to invade the Chillicothe-area facility to defend their “home” turf against the cars and stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The single-day throwdown will be headlined by a 50-lap feature event, which will pay $10,000 to the winner.
