It's more likely that track management canceled it after their disappointment with the turnout last time. If tires aren't an issue for this weekend's races or the Knoxville races then one extra race wasn't going to be an issue.
Break out those McCreary's and go for it.
I have a "special" set of Mc Creary's that have been up in the rafters for at least 20 years... lol

I think its more than a tire issue. Like mentioned above, the lackluster car count for I80 nationals was probably a bigger factor.
