Shane Clanton Sweeps Spring Championship at Dixie

Zebulon, Georgia (04/10/17) – Shane Clanton powered his Weldbank Energy #25 Super K Express/ Capital Race Car/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $3,000 win in the annual Dixie Short Track Spring Championship at Dixie Speedway on Saturday night.

“We’ve enjoyed success at Dixie Speedway in the past, and it felt great to get back to the winner’s circle because there’s always a lot of friends and family on hand when we race there,” noted Clanton. “We tried a few new things, and they definitely worked. That gives us some excitement moving forward as we get ready to get back to point’s race in a few weeks.”

On Saturday night Shane Clanton made the short trip to Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) for the Dixie Short Track Spring Championship. Laying down the fastest time overall in a field of 16 Super Late Models, Clanton earned the pole position for the main event. Leading all 40-laps, Shane Clanton cruised to his third victory of the season. He was followed across the finish line by Derek Ellis, Jake Knowles, Jason Croft, and Aaron Ridley. Clanton pocketed a $3,000 payday for his dominant performance in the feature.
