Ponderosa Speedway Back in Action with $1,200 to win KDRA Super Stocks Friday August 18

Junction City, KY- August 13, 2017- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenius will return to action this Friday August 18 with a $1,200 to win special event for the track’s KDRA Super Stock division, along with a full racing program for Super Late Models, Pro (Crate) Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Stock Four Cylinders, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones.

The Friday August 18 at Ponderosa Speedway will see the KDRA Super Stock division highlighted with a $1,200 to win event. Also on the Friday August 18 racing program will be the track’s Super Late Models racing for $1,200 to win, Pro (Crate) Late Models racing for $800 to win, Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $700 to win, Stock Four Cylinders racing for $300 to win, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win. All divisions will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions. Transponder timing/scoring is used at Ponderosa Speedway and the rental fee for a transponder is $10. RACEceivers are also mandatory and are required to be in use each a competitor is on the track.

Activities for the Friday August 18 racing program at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area and general admission area gates open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by practice and time trials, and green flag racing. Ticket prices for the Friday August 18 event in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children age 12 and under free. A pit pass will be $35 for adults, with children ages 6 to 12 being $15, while children ages 5 and under are free.
