Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Late Model Week 5 Preview

ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Week 5 of the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Late Model season will feature 15 races in seven different states over three days. The schedule of events is listed below, and there is a new rule regarding points for the 2020 season that will be in effect at three events this weekend.

The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series National Tour will be in action this Thursday night at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN for a $2,000-to-win $200-to-start 40-lap race, and a pair of $2,500-to-win $250-to-start races on Friday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL 50-to-start, and on Saturday night at Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, GA.

Drivers now have the option to earn either National Touring points or Weekly Racing Series National points. Drivers must declare which points they are running for during the Pre-Race Registration at each event.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total. The 2020 National Champion will earn $10,000.
