Kids Bike Races And Weekly Show Saturday At Mountain View Raceway

SPRING CITY, TN – Mountain View Raceway will present a Regular Weekly Points Race this Saturday night with eight Divisions in action. The Kids will also get in the action with Kids Bicycle Races for four age groups at Intermission. Medals will be awarded to the winning kids in the 4-6, 7-10. 11-13, and 14 and up age groups.

The Late Model, Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, 4-Cylinder, Thunder, Front-Wheel-Drive, Junior Front-Wheel-Drive and Developmental Sportsman Divisions will be in action on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval.

This Saturday night, Mountain View Raceway will present Contingency Connection Special Awards to random finishing positions in the Late Model, Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, Thunder and Front-Wheel-Drive Divisions. The Special Award finishing position will be drawn by the feature race winner.

The Late Model Feature Race Winner will draw for the Holley Performance $150 Product Certificate. The Sportsman Feature Race Winner will draw for Canton Racing Products $100 Product Certificate. The Open-Wheel Modified Feature Race Winner will draw for the Mac’s Tie Downs $100 Gift Certificate.

The Thunder Feature Race Winner will draw for the Mahle Motorsports $200 Product Certificate. The Front-Wheel-Drive A Feature Race Winner will draw for the G-Force Racing Gear $100 Helmet Discount Certificate, and the Front-Wheel-Drive B Feature Race Winner will draw for the Auto Meter $100 Product Certificate.

Six Front-Wheel-Drive drivers and their race cars will occupy the Mountain View Raceway Fan Zone after Hot Lap Qualifying to Meet and Greet the race fans. They will be signing autographs and handing out special gifts.

Point leader Josh Scealf of Decatur, TN in the #s7 J&S Honda, Andy Pilkey of Ten Mile, TN in the #31p Pilkey Racing Toyota, Nate Ingham of Athens, TN in the Global K9 Protection Honda, Brandon Ingham of Athens, TN in the #19 Ingham Racing Honda, Crystal Bates of Soddy Daisy, TN in the #28c Bates Racing Honda, and Marcus Smith of Spring City, TN in the TN Trailers Honda will Meet and Greet in the Fan Zone.

The defending and three time Mountain View Raceway Late Model Champion Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN leads the Late Model standings with 192 points in the Charlie’s Used Auto Parts CVR. Jeff Jackson of Ooltewah, TN in the Jackson Racing Longhorn is second with 158 points and Addison Cardwell of Knoxville, TN is third with 146 points driving the Cardwell Racing Rocket.

Cardwell leads the Sportsman standings with 246 points followed by Bradley Goodman of Spring City, TN with 206 points in the Goody’s Power Sweeping Rocket and Brandon Stanfield of Soddy Daisy, TN with 176 points in the Frizzell Excavating Mastersbilt.

Jimmy Dalton of Powell, TN leads the Open-Wheel Modified Division standings with 138 points driving the Willett Powder Coating Elite. The defending Mountain View Raceway Open-Wheel Modified Champion Billy Palmer of Knoxville, TN is second in the Mighty Muffler and Brakes Tinch with 132 points and Kyle Shadden of Dayton, TN is third with 108 points driving the Suttles Dirtworkx.

Chris Williams of Soddy Daisy, TN is the Thunder Division point leader driving the Anneke Wilkey Monte Carlo with 218 points. Zaniel Rogge of Spring City, TN is second with 214 points in the Rogge Racing Camaro and Bobby Davenport of Crossville, TN is third with 204 points in the Davenport Racing Monte Carlo.

Josh Scealf of Decatur, TN leads the Front-Wheel-Drive standings with 234 points in the J&S Towing Honda followed by Nathan Adams of Crossville, TN in second driving the Adams Racing Special with 200 points and Jacob Sharp of Crossville, TN in third with 184 points in the Sharp Race Cars Chevrolet.

Nine-year-old Frankie Sharp of Crossville, TN is the Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Division point leader with 192 points in the Sharp Race Cars Chevrolet. Steven Clowers of Englewood, TN is second with 184 points in the Clowers Racing Special and Chevy Adams of Crossville, TN is third with 182 points in the Adams Racing Special.

This Saturday, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. and the Grandstand and Tier Parking Gates open at 4 p.m. Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:15 p.m. and Hot Laps are scheduled for 6:45 p.m.

Pit Passes are $25 for Adults, $15 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $10 for race fans 12 and older, Children 6-11 are $5. and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. All Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
