FANSFund Set to Kickoff 2016

New Richmond, WI (April 8, 2016): The 2016 edition of the FANSFund is set to kickoff Saturday night April 16th at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI. This will be opening weekend for the speedway as the original opening weekend was postponed due to weather. Opening weekend is traditionally a great weekend of racing with fans coming out to see what’s new for the year; the nice looking new cars or new bodies, new classes of cars, and what new talent is on the horizon in each of the racing divisions. The FANSFund team will be accepting donations, taking votes, and doing 50/50 on Saturday night of the opener so stop out and show your support, and enjoy a great night of exciting race action!

The 2016 format will continue with much of what has made this such a popular event for fans, drivers and sponsors but once again brings a new twist with a new driver category that a number of FANSFund supporters have asked for. We will continue with the “FANSFund Regular Driver”, “FANSFund All Star Driver”, and “FANSFund Legend Driver” categories; and new for 2016 will be a “FANSFund At Large Driver” category added to the mix! This new category removes the restrictions of the other categories and allows fans to vote for any driver they choose. We have a number of new drivers that have already shown interest in participating in this year’s FANSFund events and will be vying for your votes. Our goal is once again to invite 10-12 drivers depending on how much money we raise.

The FANSFund Dash has been a big hit the last 2 years and will return for 2016. Drivers that are voted into the FANSFund will once again race for their share of the money raised in a 10-12 lap Dash on Friday night of the USA Nationals.

The popular FANSFund Luncheon will continue for fans that make at least a $30 donation, our sponsors, and the drivers voted in. The luncheon will be on Saturday August 6th at 12:30 PM in the Cedar Lake Arena. At the luncheon fans get a personal meet and greet with the drivers they voted in, a nice lunch, a t-shirt, and are eligible for other door prizes that are raffled off.

The FANSFund main goal continues to be recruiting new drivers and teams from outside our regional area and provide them with financial support to attend and participate in the USA Nationals. Our hopes are that exposing new drivers to this great event will provide an experience that they will never forget and that these drivers will want to return to the USA Nationals for years to come. The FANSFund team also strives to provide a quality experience for the Fans and Sponsors that support what we do and that they feel they’re receiving great value for their financial support.

Voting ends at midnight July 17, 2016 but donations will be accepted through August 4, 2016; donors will no longer be able to vote, or be eligible for the luncheon or a T-shirt after July 17th.
