Hey everyone new member long time ghost. I have a quetsion about the power valve and big camsI'm running a nissan KA24 3 valve, (fully build't) just switched to a 310 degree cam and having tuning issues and wondering if I should plug the power valve, runs like crap until wide open, would like to give it more advance but but I think thats just a bandaid.
Welcome! Yes you could be having a power valve problem. A few things, you may have the wrong one, or you may have a damaged one. What do the plugs look like? Why do you think it is the power valve to begin with? Have you tried a different power valve? Could you have a vacuum leak? What is your timing set at? Maybe put a fresh set of spark plugs in it and run a few hard laps and then shut it off and check the plugs. Just a few ideas to try.
