Ray Cook Set to Put Promoter’s Hat On Following Top Five at North Georgia Speedway

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Ray Cook and his #53 team were in the pit area for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series season opener on Saturday evening, March 4 at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia. A stout 31 car field assembled in northern Georgia for the $4,000 to win shootout.

Ray clicked off the fourth fastest time during the qualifying session, which locked him into the outside of the second row for the start of the 40-lap main event. The Brasstown, North Carolina star then hung around the front of the field throughout the feature distance - eventually landing in the fifth finishing position behind only victor Brandon Overton, Jason Welshan, Mike Marlar, and Jason Hiett. The Ray Cook Racing team will now enjoy some time off, as Ray will put his Promoter’s hat on for the next few weeks.
