Ponderosa Speedway Has Full Racing Program Set for Friday June 2
Junction City, KY- May 28, 2017- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenius will present a full racing program in all six weekly divisions at the 3/8-mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Friday June 2. The racing program will feature Super Late Models, Pro (Crate) Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, KDRA Super Stocks, Stock Four Cylinders, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones.
The racing program at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday June 2 will feature all six weekly divisions in competition with Super Late Models racing for $1,200 to win, while Pro (Crate) Late Models will compete for $800 to win. Joining these two divisions on June 2 will be Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $700 to win and KDRA Super Stocks racing for $600 to win. Completing the racing program on June 2 will be Stock Four Cylinders racing for $300 to win and Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win. All divisions will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions. Transponder timing/scoring is used at Ponderosa Speedway and the rental fee for a transponder is $10. RACEceivers are also mandatory and are required to be in use each a competitor is on the track.
Activities for the Friday June 2 racing program at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area and general admission area gates open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by practice, Super Late Model time trials, and green flag racing. Ticket prices for the Friday June 2 event in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children ages 12 and under free. A pit pass will be $30, with children ages 6 to 12 in the pit area $15, and children in the pit area ages 5 and under free.
