99 Frankie smoked them. 19 Ryan G stole the show. Dang he was exciting to watch
They need to find a way to boost the talent level and equipment at these events.
Thanks Shiny.
Well...
1) Pay 10k mininum to the winner for all Summernats events
2) Hold back to back night events at tracks like Fals, Farmer City, Pevely and a few others
3) Stop racing on Monday & Tuesday nights
4) Pay the winner of the Hell Tour 100k like they did years ago, & make the pointsfund better than it is now
5) Get 10-12 drivers to commit to the full tour and pay them $200/night tow money
6) Stop scheduling events at tracks that don't have a base of late model teams/support.
7) Co-sanction a handful of Summernats shows with other Midwest series
8) Increase the payout for non-transfer cars
Run LM feature first on a Tuesday night (not street stocks) and don't have a 30 minute intermission on a week night unless the track needs prep
The long intermission followed by the street stocks vs. late models was ridiculous. Why does a promoter do that to his paying customers?
Few years back I thought Gustin would be a major force on the national late model scene, hasn't worked out that way. Kid drives the wheel off a car but has a lot of dnf’s.
