Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Late Model Week 11 Preview

ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Week 11 of the 2020 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model season will be contested this weekend with a light five-race schedule of events. It will mark the last week for four of the top five drivers in the Top 5 of the point standings to earn full points.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total. The 2020 National Champion will earn $10,000.

Point leader Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL, second-place Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS, third-place Tootie Arnold, and fifth-place Josh Amacher of Ragland, AL have ten weeks of competition in the books. The fourth-place driver Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN has nine weeks in the books. The sixth through 20th-place drivers have two to four more weeks to earn full points.

Looking at the Weekly Point Averages (WPA) of the Top 20 drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model point standings, Skinner leads the way with a WPA of 48.44 out of a possible 50. To find the second-place driver on the WPA list, one must scroll down to the tenth-place driver Scott Ladner of Lumberton, MS who has a WPA of 48.13 after eight weeks of competition.

Mitchell has the third highest WPA at 47.80 and Idom has the fourth highest WPA at 47.40. The fifth highest WPA belongs to the driver that is 11th in the point standings. Oakley Johns of Hohenwald, TN has a WPA of 47.25 and he has three more weeks to earn full points.
