Maxie DQed From 2nd-Place Finish On April 7 At Southern Raceway

CARTERSVILLE, GA – NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division driver Sam Maxie of Vancleave, MS has been disqualified from his second-place finish on April 7 at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL after results from an independent laboratory showed the sample taken from his tire by track officials after the race and sent to the lab did not meet the required benchmark.

Maxie will lose his points from that event, will be fined $500 and will be suspended for a period of 30 days. This period dates back to April 7, the date of the violation, so the points he earned in Week 2 and Week 3 of the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division season have been removed. The NeSmith Street Stock point standings have been adjusted and reposted to reflect this change.
