Ernie D's Enterprises becomes Appalachian Mountain Speedweek Title Sponsor

Ernie D’s Enterprises jumps onboard as Title Sponsor of the 2017 Appalachian Mountain Speedweek presented by DirtonDirt.com

Martinsburg West Virginia’s Ernie Davis has upped his commitment to the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek for 2017. After sponsoring the series Fast Time award in 2015 and 2016, Ernie Davis reached out to Speedweek management in December offering to do more for the series which will mark its 9th year in operation. The series will now be known as the Ernie D’s Appalachian Mountain Speedweek presented by DirtonDirt.com and will showcase seven races over a ten-day period this coming June. The series will feature the best Super Late Model racers in the Mid-Atlantic vying for the title and an expanded point fund thanks to the Ernie D’s Enterprises sponsorship. All races in the series will pay $4,000 to win with $400 just to take the green. A $200 Fast Time, $150 Hard Charger and a $100 Hard Luck award will also be presented nightly. Point Fund details will be released closer to the event with more sponsorship coming into place to help expand it even more. As is the case with all Appalachian Mountain Speedweek races, there is NO registration fee for the competitors.

“Jason and I were very honored when Ernie called” said Speedweek Co-Promoter Kurt Smith. “We were actually out in St. Louis for the Gateway Nationals supporting that event and Dirt-on-Dirt when they called. Ernie and Connie have always been supporters of the series way back to the first year in 2009 when Josh (Richards) won the inaugural championship driving Ernie’s race car. Their support means so much to us and to have them as our title sponsor is a real honor. We are going to be able to do some cool things this year and we will have many announcements leading up to June. There are some new sponsors to introduce along with some incentives for the drivers. We are just happy after 9 years to still be doing this and we couldn’t do it without our sponsors, competitors and fans” added Smith.
