Fairbury Speedway Hornet Special $100 to win July 2

The Fairbury American Legion Speedway will be hosting a Hornet Special sponsored by Casey’s General Stores this coming Saturday, July 2nd. The 15-lap UMP Hornet feature will pay $100 to win. The UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, and UMP Street Stocks will also be in action Saturday night. There will also be a Dash for Cash for the kids ages 9-10.

Gate Admission: $10
Pits: $25
Gates Open: Main 3:00 p.m., Back 5:00 p.m.
Hot Laps 5:50 p.m., Qualifying 6:30 p.m., Racing immediately following qualifying
Children 12 and under free when accompanied by a paying adult.

The speedway is located three blocks south of U.S. 24 on 3rd St. in Fairbury, IL (at the fairgrounds). For more information visit www.fairburyspeedway.com. In case of inclement weather on race day, please monitor the track site forum for the latest event information.

What happened to the annually $500 to win that all the hornet drivers from up there have been excited about? Not to long ago it even said $500 to win on the website... :confused:

I was wondering the same thing about the 500... website said 60 to start also. Im plannin on going anyway.

i would go to that. but 100 to win a special? we pay 125 to win at peoria

No offense but ooooh what a special that's about a insult lol ....... I know one track I've been racing has let there pay go to crap and now has there car count and now there talking about dropping it more due to there bad car count hmmm wonder why there's no cars showing up I know if they drop it again I'm going back to P town full time .
