One time I was in the pits at TST, Red was standing right next to a friend of mine. He had no idea who he was, so I told him, and he asked him how he was, and Red just kinda looked at him, the guy next to him said "It's OK, he can't hear for $#IT" hahaha. Good to see him still getting it done.
There's hope for me.... Now all I need is 50 more years of experience...
At 83 he has no business being in a race car of any kind. Slow reflexes, and if he gets slammed into a wall he will probably be a dead man. One of the great guys. Nobody wants to see something like that happen.

well, if im 83 and leading a race and slam the wall and it kills me , then i cant think of a much better way to go , and as far as a danger to other drivers, there are some young drivers , to young some times in my opinion, that are way more dangerous to other drivers than ole red, JMO......Quote:
