Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Series Adds Event at Blue Ridge Motorsports Park for April 7th

SOMERSET, KY (January 24, 2017)—Officials with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Super Late Model Series have added a date for Friday April 7th at the Blue Ridge Motorsports Park in Blue Ridge, Ga. to the 2017 schedule.

The first night of a double-header weekend will feature the Iron-Man Super Late Models racing for a 30-lap $3,000-to-win and $300-to-start event. This will mark the first special Super Late Model event at the former Sugar Creek Raceway in over four years. The track has sat dormant since 2012 until late last year, the trio of Gary Edwards, Dale Eavenson and Drew Deaver opened the track located in the North Georgia area.

The series will visit Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn. on Saturday Night April 8th for the $5,000-to-win “Spring Thaw” race the night after the Blue Ridge event.

The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Models along with the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Series will open the 2017 season on Saturday January 28th with the running of the Ninth Annual Cabin Fever race at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Ga. paying $3,500-to-win for Super Late Models and $1,500-to-win for the Modified Series.
