Ray Cook and Wynn Motorsports Tackle North Georgia Speedway; Preps for 4th of July Special

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) The Wynn Motorsports team and driver Ray Cook invaded North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia on Saturday evening, June 17. The single-day Ultimate Super Late Model Series throwdown in northern Georgia boasted a $4,000 payday.

Ray clicked off the seventh quickest lap during the qualifying session and later started the 40-lapper from the inside of the fourth row. The Brasstown, North Carolina standout then moved up inside of the top five during the headliner, but was later caught up in a tangle that sent him pitside for the remainder of the night. Ray was eventually relegated to a sixteenth place effort in his second outing with Wynn Motorsports. Full results from this race can be viewed by clicking on www.ultimatesupers.com.

The new-look #53 team has opted to take the upcoming June 23-24 weekend off from racing action and are slated to return to competition back at North Georgia Speedway on Tuesday night, July 4. The Southern Nationals Bonus Series will roll into the 1/3-mile Chatsworth, Georgia oval to preside over a special $10,000 to win Independence Day showdown.
