Ponderosa Speedway Announces Championship Night Set for Saturday November 4
Junction City, KY – October 8, 2017 – Along with the upcoming 27th Annual Fall Classic on Friday October 13 and Saturday October 14, Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenius are pleased to announce the track’s 2017 Championship Night presented by Yeager Insulation event, which is set for Saturday November 4 at the 3/8-mile D-shaped clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring”. The Super Late Models will be racing for $2,000 to win, Pro (Crate) Late Models racing for $1,000 to win, Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $800 to win, KDRA Super Stocks racing for $750 to win, Stock Four Cylinders racing for $500 to win, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win.
Ponderosa Speedway will present Championship Night presented by Yeager Insulation on Saturday November 4. Track champions will be crowned on that evening with with divisions in competition that evening including Super Late Models racing for $2,000 to win, Pro (Crate) Late Models racing for $1,000 to win, Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $800 to win, KDRA Super Stocks racing for $750 to win, Stock Four Cylinders racing for $500 to win, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win. All divisions will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions. Transponder timing/scoring is used at Ponderosa Speedway and the rental fee for a transponder is $10. RACEceivers are also mandatory and are required to be in use each a competitor is on the track.
Activities for the Saturday November 4 Championship Night presented by Yeager Insulation at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area and the general admission area gates open at 2:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m., with practice/time trial laps set to begin at 6:00 p.m., followed immediately by green flag racing. Ticket prices for the Saturday November 4 Championship Night presented by Yeager Insulation in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children age 12 and under free. A pit pass will be $35 for adults, with children ages 6 to 12 being $15, while children ages 5 and under are free.
