Saturday Is Regular Weekly Points Night At Mountain View Raceway

SPRING CITY, TN – Mountain View Raceway will host a Regular Weekly Points Race this Saturday night with seven Weekly Divisions in action on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval plus a special race for the Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Division for kids 15 years of age and younger. Mountain View Raceway returns to competition after taking off last Saturday night.

Competing for Weekly Points will be drivers in the Late Model, Sportsman, Beginner Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, B-Hobby, Thunder, and Front-Wheel-Drive Divisions. There are just three more weeks left in the 2021 points season that ends on October 16.

Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN is looking for his second straight Late Model Championship and leads the standings with 754 points driving the Charlie’s Used Auto Parts CVR. Christopher Peak of Evensville, TN is second in the BS Welding Mastersbilt with 564 points and Tommy Miller of Soddy Daisy, TN is third with 428 points in the Miller Racing Mastersbilt.

Joe Bray of New Tazewell, TN in the Bray Roofing Rocket is the Sportsman point leader with 738 points. Bradley Goodman of Spring City, TN is second in the Sportsman standings with 706 points driving the Goody’s Power Sweeping Rocket and Tyler Dennis of Dayton, TN is third with 660 points in the First Farmers Bank Rocket.

David Peak of Evensville, TN leads the Beginner Sportsman standings with 928 points driving the BS Welding Rayburn. Christian James of Soddy Daisy, TN driving the Morgan Septic Service Rayburn is second with 754 points and Jeremy Thurman of Rockwood, TN is third with 750 points in the Addison’s Complete Auto Repair GRT.

Billy Palmer of Knoxville, TN in the Mighty Muffler and Brakes Tinch leads the Open-Wheel Modified standings with 816 points. David Lester of Rockwood, TN is second with 620 points in the Cadillac Grill Loose Griff and Walter Walsh of Claxton, TN is third with 614 points driving the Walsh Racing Special.

Johnny Hughes of Graysville, TN is the B-Hobby Division point leader in the Hughes Farms Monte Carlo with 895 points, Jim Gilbert of Rossville, GA in the Rat Rod Chevelle is second with 874 points and David Beeler of Sevierville, TN is third with 732 points driving the Kodak Tractor Camaro.

Clayton Forsyth of Crossville, TN leads the Thunder standings with 906 points in the Forsyth Motorsports Chevelle. Chris Williams of Soddy Daisy, TN is second with 850 points in the Anneke Wilkey Monte Carlo and Bobby Davenport of Crossville, TN in the Davenport Racing Monte Carlo is third with 828 points.

Nick Adams of Crossville, TN is the Front-Wheel-Drive point leader with 834 points in the Adams Racing Special and his brother Nathan Adams of Crossville, TN in the Adams Racing Special is second with 808 points. Jacob Sharp of Crossville, TN is third with 702 points in the Sharp Race Cars Chevrolet.

On Saturday, September 25, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. and the Grandstand/Tier Parking Gates open at 4 p.m. Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Drivers Registering after 6 p.m. will start at the rear of a Heat Race or get one lap of Qualifying. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:15 p.m.

Pit Passes are $25 for Adults, $15 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $10 for race fans 12 and older, Children 6-11 are $5. and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. All Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
