Ponderosa Speedway Set for Pepsi Family Fun Night Championships on Friday July 13
JUNCTION CITY, KENTUCKY- July 6, 2018- Ponderosa Speedway will return to action with its next event on Friday July 13 as the track will present Pepsi Family Fun Night and championship events for the Super Late Model ($2,000 to win), KDRA Super Stock ($750 to win), and KDRA Four Cylinder ($750 to win) divisions, while the Crate Late Models and Mini-Cup/Cyclones will also be in competition.
As part of the Pepsi Family Fun Night at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday July 13, the track will have inflatables set up for the children and there will also be a bicycle giveaway to a lucky youngster as well. Also, there will be giveaways and other prize to those in attendance.
The Pepsi Family Fun Night will take place on Friday July 13 at Ponderosa Speedway and will see a Super Late Model Championship event that will be 25 laps in distance and pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start. Also, the KDRA Super Stocks Championship will pay $750 to win, along with the KDRA Four Cylinder Championship paying $750 to win. In addition, the track’s Crate Late Models will be in action for $800 to win, while the Mini-Cup/Cyclones will be racing for $100 to win. The Super Late Model tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier 1350 and 1600; American Racer 48 and 56. Rules for the Crate Late Model, KDRA Super Stock, KDRA Four Cylinder, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones are posted on the track’s website at www.ponderosaspeedway.net.
There is no entry fee any division. Drivers competing the Super Late Model, Crate Late Model, KDRA Super Stock, and KDRA Four Cylinder divisions that do not make the 18-car starting field in their respective divisions will receive $35 tow money. The track uses transponder timing/scoring in all divisions and transponder rental for the event will be $10. In addition, there will be an additional $100 to winner of the KDRA Super Stock feature and KDRA Four Cylinder if either division has 18 or more entries.
Activities for the Pepsi Family Fun Night Championships at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday July 13 will the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., while the general admission area will open at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices for the Pepsi Family Fun Night Championship event on Friday July 13 in the general admission area will be $18 for adults, while children ages 12 and under will be free. In the pit area, a pit pass for adults will be $35, while children ages 10 and under are free with a signed parent waiver.
