Ponderosa Speedway Set for Mod Lite Madness on SATURDAY July 29
Junction City, KY- July 25, 2017- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jamie Stumph and co-owner Larry Redenius are set to present a special Saturday night program at the 3/8-mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Saturday July 29 as Mod Lite Madness will take place featuring the Tennessee Mod Lites paying $800 to win and Stock Four Cylinders also racing for $800, plus a full racing program for Super Late Models, Pro (Crate) Late Models, and KDRA Super Stocks, while the Open Wheel Modifieds and Mini-Cup/Cyclones will have the night off.
The Mod Lite Madness racing program at Ponderosa Speedway will take place on SATURDAY July 29 and will feature the Mod Lites racing for $800 to win and the Stock Four Cylinders racing for $800 to win. Also in action at the special Saturday night program on July 29 will be the track’s Super Late Models racing for $1,200 to win, Pro (Crate) Late Models racing for $800 to win, KDRA Super Stocks racing for $600 to win. All divisions will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions. Transponder timing/scoring is used at Ponderosa Speedway and the rental fee for a transponder is $10. RACEceivers are also mandatory and are required to be in use each a competitor is on the track. The Mod Lites will have a $20 entry fee ($10 for sanctioning fee and $10 for transponder rental).
Activities for the special Saturday July 29 racing program at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area and general admission area gates open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by practice and time trials, and green flag racing. Ticket prices for the Mod Lite Madness on Saturday July 29 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children age 12 and under free. A pit pass will be $30 for adults, with children ages 6 to 12 being $15, while children ages 5 and under are free.
