Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Week 14 Preview

ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Week 14 of the 2020 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model season will feature 14 races in five different states being contested over three days during the Labor Day Holiday weekend. That will give title contending drivers three opportunities to net points on their best 11-week totals.

The Week 14 action begins on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS. Saturday night will host the bulk of the schedule and with the holiday weekend, there will be four races on Sunday night.

Saturday night races are scheduled for Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, LA, Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN, Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL, Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL, Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS, and Tri County Speedway in Flomaton, AL.

The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series will be at Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, GA this Saturday night and Sunday night for the $20,000-to-win 16th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race. Competitors can elect to compete for Weekly Racing Series Late Model points at this event.

The Sunday night Week 14 Weekly Racing Series Late Model schedule has races at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN, Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

The defending Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model National Champion Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is the current points leader with a best 11-week total of 536 points and he will be trying to net on a 44. Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN is second with a best 11-week total of 535 points, and he will be trying to net on a 46.

Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL is third in the Weekly Racing Series Late Model standings with a best 11-week total of 527 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. Tootie Arnold of Meadeville, MS is fourth with a best 11-week total of 522 points, and he will be trying to net on a 45.

Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS is fifth in the Late Model National standings with a best 11-week total of 521 points, and he will be trying to net on a 43. Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS is sixth with a best 11-week total of 512 points, and he will be trying to net on a 39. Mike Combs of Odenville, AL is seventh with a best 11-week total of 511 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.

Seth McCormack of Muscle Shoals, AL holds the eighth spot in the standings with a best 11-week total of 510 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. Oakley Gillespie of Five Points, TN is ninth with a best 11-week total of 498 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.

Josh Amacher of Tullahoma, TN rounds out the Top 10 in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model standings with an 11-week total of 483 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total. The 2020 National Champion will earn $10,000.
