Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Week 13 Preview

ADAIRSVILLE, GA – There are 13 races in six different states on the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Week 13 schedule of events. The top eight drivers in the point standings have reached the 11 Week mark of their respective seasons and will be trying to net points by replacing their lowest weekly point total with a higher one.

However, as we preview the Week 13 schedule, Hurricane Laura and her remnants are going to affect each state where Crate Racin’ USA sanctioned races are scheduled. Fans and competitors are urged to monitor the tracks websites and Social Media outlets for updates in the days ahead prior to each event.

Week 13 of the 2020 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model season will begin on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS. Saturday night’s schedule will have a dozen races for the Late Models.

Saturday night races will be held at All Tech Raceway in Lake City, FL, Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, LA, Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC. Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN, Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL, Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN, Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS, Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, and Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total. The 2020 National Champion will earn $10,000.

Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN is the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model point leader. Skinner has a best 11-week total of 535 points, and he will be trying to net on a 46. Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL is second in the standings with a best 11-week total of 527 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.

The defending Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model National Champion Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is third in the National standings with a best 11-week total of 517 points, and he will be trying to net on a 25. Jeremy Idom of Hattiesburg, MS is fourth in the standings with a best 11-week total of 515 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.

Tootie Arnold of Meadeville, MS is fifth in the Weekly Late Model standings with a best 11-week total of 512 points, and he will be trying to net on a 40. Mike Combs of Odenville, AL is sixth with a best 11-week total of 500 points, and he will be trying to net on a 37. Oakley Gillespie of Five Points, TN is seventh with a best 11-week total of 498 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41.

Josh Amacher of Tullahoma, TN is eighth in the standings with a best 11-week total of 483 points, and he will be trying to net on a 41. Oakley Johns of Hohenwald, TN is ninth in the standings with 473 points, and he has one more to earn full points. Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS rounds out the Top 10 of the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model standings with 463 points, and he has one more week to earn full points.
