The 360 winged cars turned out in good numbers, about 85 each of the 3 nights I believe. This is a favorite of teams from all over the country with it's generous purses and point fund. Four thousand to the winners each night and not a Dolly Parton type payoff through the field. The format is designed so every time you hit the track it counts and you really have to be on your game all 3 nights to claim the title.
Buddy Kofoid captured the win Thursday, Rico Abreu won on Friday and Ryan Timms captured the final on Saturday with Kofoid's 4th place garnering him this year's championship and a $27,000 payout.
The race is charity driven with the Make A Wish group the beneficiary and this year sent $250,000 into their account making the total since the Trophy Cup's inception $2,250,000. Pretty impressive bucks going to a very popular foundation.
