I was surprised to find out how little most racers would race for,on a weekly shou most race for about $150 per race.

Tracks around central IL pay LM's 1000-1500 for a win. If you figure 25 dollars as a cost per lap, you have too win to break even at 1000. If you have to run a B main, you are losing money. That 25 dollar figure is what a very fast central IL veteran figures it costs him. I don't know how that figure relates to other racers, as this driver does a lot of his own work.
Most track championships don't pay anything, at least here in central Ky. You get a $75 trophy that you have about 10k in, but you are that track champion for a year which in 10 years is forgotten about. You have to love it to do it!!
Good announcers recognize former track Champions when they are on track during pre race laps whether or not they are champions there or some place else. Some tracks have a championships wall where every champion is listed through out all the years. I couldn't tell you who won the big dollar race one year but I could tell you who was track champ.
wow and that's coming from the Dirt Motors expert it must be right lmfao
oh that's right you can't prove it
All ready did. Why should I assume otherwise. Everyone knows the multiple user names you have here and the STL forums. You can't fool any anymore.
but you can't prove anything
The Mods can prove it, keep poking the Bear and you will find out!!
I don't think this forum has any moderators. Otherwise, many posts in this thread would be deleted and several posters would be banned.
