Sweeney RUSH Late Model informational meeting set for Brighton on Feb 14

SWEENEY RUSH SERIES TO OFFER CRATE LATE MODEL INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR CANADA'S BRIGHTON SPEEDWAY ON FEBRUARY 14

(Brighton, ON)… On January 14, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series Directors Vicki Emig and Mike Leone were proud to make the announcement that Brighton Speedway in Brighton, Ontario became the second Canadian speedway to join the Sweeney RUSH Weekly Series. Brighton will now host a RUSH Informational Meeting at 2 PM on Saturday, February 14 at the Speedway, which is located at 775 County Rd 64, Brighton, Ontario.

"Every time we sign on a new speedway, we host a general informational meeting on RUSH," explained Emig. "We'll explain the aspects of the RUSH program as well as teching procedures and much more. In Brighton's case, most of their racers that have yet to experience RUSH so this will be an important meeting to attend. This will be a great opportunity for drivers to ask questions and get the proper answers."

The RUSH informational package will be distributed and drivers will have the opportunity to purchase their optional membership in advance. The $125 weekly membership allows drivers to be eligible for the Sweeney Weekly Series and Pace Summer Chase point funds in addition to the new Bilstein Bandits Championship as well as the "Futures Cup" for those eligible members. For additional $100, drivers can join the Sweeney Touring Series. Membership also grants racers an additional $100,000 of excess participant accident insurance.

Soon after Brighton made the commitment to RUSH, Fulton Speedway in New York followed, and Tri-City Raceway Park, which will host special events in 2015, will sanction their Crate Late Model events under RUSH.

Brighton Speedway is a 1/3-mile dirt oval featuring Saturday night racing May through September.
