Other than going to the Dome because Cody is promoting. He really has no business going. They're going to have to mount an oxygen tank in the car for him on that little track
Moderaters is there a way to track ip address stop these trolls please..
Didn’t go to Cochran or watch video. But for those that did, how do you rate the 2 days? Success or a flop?
The crate feature last night was great. They were top to bottom racing with several lead changes. I recommend watching video of it wherever you can find it.
Super race was pretty decent. Overton could catch Bloomer in the turns in traffic, but Bloomquist was untouchable in the open track.
I decided to take the chance and make the 9 hour drive from Ohio. Glad I did. I liked the format, and I enjoyed the racing. If they would have run heats, we all would have seen the sun come up. Only part I hated, was the 14 hours to get home because of all the holiday traffic. That was a nightmare.
We went Saturday. As usual with Cochran, you get the good and the bad. The racing was really good, as it is most of the times we’ve been. But the track didn’t slick over like it typically does. It was the fastest I’ve ever seen it. Crowd was possibly the biggest I’ve seen there too, but we were seeing people leave before the super feature even lined up, because they’d been there so long. That’s the biggest negative with Cochran. They drag things out every time. They advertised racing at 5:00, so we got there at 5:00. And didn’t leave until almost 2:00am. That’s way too long. Also, it was $15,000 to win and they didn’t run any heat races. That’s ridiculous. The supers qualified at 6:00 and didn’t get back on the track until feature time around 12:30. Don’t think I’ve ever attended a race before in which the cars didn’t get on the track for 6-1/2 hours. But, that’s Cochran. Gotta give a big shoutout to Scott Bloomquist. He put on a show and he wasn’t going to be denied. That was the fastest looking drive I’ve seen him run in years. I didn’t think he could maintain that pace for 75 laps, but he did. It was very impressive. I don’t think he has much racing left in his career, so it was cool to see him win another one in person.
Kovac echoed your thoughts on DoD. He said 5 hrs for the headliner not to be on the track is totally unacceptable.
If so I’ll have another chuckle. Lol
