Mick sansom*stars/mdrl round 2 up next

After a disappointing start for the 2011 season due to carburetion problems, Mick Sansom of Salt Rock, West Virginia plans to head out to the Lake Cumberland Speedway for Round 2 in the STARS/MDRL Series (www.racevrs.com). The series will run its second race in its inaugural year, again at the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY. Mick battled with the carburetion problems all night and finished one position out of making the feature event in his B-Main on April 23rd. After a 15th place finish in All-Star Circuit of Champions Series event on April 30th at the K-C Raceway in Alma, OH, the team made a carburetor change and will head back to the Kentucky speedplant better prepared to make a challenge for the 2011 Rookie of the Year honors in the STARS/MDRL Series. Mick will again be piloting the SANSOM MOTORSPORTS (SMS) owned MasterSbilt Race Cars, Dale Meers Racing Engines, Shain Custom Decals #20M entry.
