I heard about it and seen one car break all kinds of stuff doing it, that or some crazy indexing.
You would never want to do this unless you were making compromises to overcome a rule such as droop rule.
Yeah, i heard it thru the grapevine MBR, breakig parts etc, no expierence with it.
Remember back in day when we would index the cage at the bottom of travel a lot, and the car would drop off the bars hard?
I think there trying to manupulate this situation and use a bunch of droop load to counter it, in order to get some crazy amounts of LR droop.
Ive been noticing it on a few cars, how the LR acts on the track. If you watch a Longhow, they dont droop the LR alot on a Lift, tire dont touch the ground, but on the track they have a crazy amount of travel.
I know some of that comes from positioning of the Limiting chain, and compressing the RR but its excessive droop on the LR on track.
Just some observations.
Overton is the only one that looks like something like that is going on to me. Measuring stuff off pictures, the best I can, I can match RTJ without doing anything crazy on the lr. Overton is in a whole different realm of on track LR height.Quote:

Modifieds we dont have a Droop rule, but ive found it more usueful to really compress the RR, even added more BC drop so i dont bottom out the shock.
If you over-index the lr, then you are bending parts. Find another way to achieve whatever you are trying to do. If you feel that you need to over-index the lr, then what handling problem(s) are you trying to correct????? I am a generalist. Generalists can sometimes see past problems that specialists overlook. At least once a week, sometimes 3 times a week, he calls me because he is stuck on a repair. Very often, I can use distant logic to help him work through the problem. He gets so focussed on the problem that he can not see the obvious. I would love to help you, but "why are people over indexing the lr" is too vague. I would guess that they are trying to throw the car into the corner very hard, and then the need the lr to instantly drop to tighten the car up once they throttle up. More lr top angle=more indexing-=more birdcage binding.
Im seeing more and more of this on the Track, seems like the over indexing while in / on the bump. Chain tight agasint the bump, and the over index is applied once the car tractions up real hard.
Elites have the timing down, only does it on the stragihts mainly.
Some are not understanding the bump profile if its to stiff to fast, pucks, will just blow off the front tires. You get that throttle push, off gas TIGHT (entry) thing going.
Also, the colapsed RR, some just take it to far and it unloads the RF, which inturn unloads the LR.
All looks like and effort to catch the Elites on certain tracks. Florence being one of them.
