Sportsman Fan Zone Highlights Mountain View Raceway Saturday Show

SPRING CITY, TN – Mountain View Raceway presents a Regular Weekly Points race this Saturday night with the Late Model, Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, 4-Cylinder, Thunder, Front-Wheel-Drive, Junior Front-Wheel-Drive, and Developmental Sportsman Divisions in action on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval.

The Sportsman Division will be in the Fan Zone right after their Qualifying session to Meet and Greet the fans in the Mountain View Raceway Victory Lane area. There will be five Sportsman teams participating in the Fan Zone Meet and Greet this Saturday night to interact with the race fans with autographs and photo opportunities.

The Fan Zone Meet and Greet will feature Tyler Dennis of Dayton, TN with the #22 First Farmers Bank Rocket, Christian James of Soddy Daisy, TN with the #J28 Scenic Air Solutions Rayburn, Cody Youngblood of Rockwood, TN with the #88 Youngblood Motorsports Rocket, Zach Crager of Decatur, TN with the #Z4 Smoky Mountain CBD Lazer, and D.J. McMahan of Cedar Ridge, TN with the #13 McMahan Racing Rayburn.

This Saturday night, the Contingency Connection Racer Rewards will go to the Hard Luck Driver in each points paying Division as judged by Track Officials. The Racer Rewards books contain over $4,000 worth of Motorsports Products and Equipment.

Mountain View Raceway is one of 50 Contingency Connection selected race tracks and racing series, and the only track in East Tennessee, which represents many motorsports vendors offering contingency awards to drivers during the 2022 racing season. Mountain View Raceway, through the Contingency Connection Program, will award over $100,000 in Special and Racer Rewards.

The three-time and defending Champion Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN leads the Late Model point standings in the Charlie’s Used Auto Parts CVR. Addison Cardwell of Knoxville, TN leads the Sportsman standings driving the Addison Racing Rocket. Jimmy Dalton of Powell, TN leads the Open-Wheel Modified standings in the Willett Powder Coating Elite.

The 4-Cylinder standings are led by Gracie Duggan of Lenoir City, TN driving the Duggan Racing Special. Casey Cash of Spring City, TN driving the Duncan Family Camaro is the Thunder point leader. Josh Scealf of Decatur, TN leads the Front-Wheel-Drive standings driving the J&S Towing Honda and the Junior Front-Wheel-Drive standings are led by Frankie Sharp of Crossville, TN in the Sharp Race Cars Chevrolet.

This Saturday, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. and the Grandstand and Tier Parking Gates open at 4 p.m. The Mandatory Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:15 p.m. and Hot Laps are scheduled for 6:45 p.m.

Pit Passes are $25 for Adults, $15 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $10 for race fans 12 and older, Children 6-11 are $5. and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. All Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
