Newsome Raceway Parts Weekly Racing Series Late Model Week 2 Preview

ADAIRSVILLE, GA – A dozen races are on the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division Week 2 schedule of events. Races will take place in three different states. Mississippi will host five races, Alabama has four races and Tennessee presents three races. The action begins tonight and runs through Saturday night.

The Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Week 2 action begins tonight at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL. Friday night’s lone event will take place at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS.

Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS and Tri-County Speedway in Flomaton, AL will highlight Saturday night Late Model action. Each track will present $1,000-to-win races. Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS and Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS will also have Magnolia State action on Saturday night.

Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, TN, and Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, TN will make up the Saturday night Volunteer State Late Model action. Other Alabama Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model races will be held at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.

Eight drivers share the Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model Division point lead after Week 1 50-point wins. Defending Newsome Raceway Parts Late Model National Champion Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS, Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN, Jeremy Shaw of Millport, AL, Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS, Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL, David Kay of Munford, AL, Chad DuPont of Bossier City, LA, and Gray Parton of Gaffney, SC are on top of the Late Model points list.

Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total. The 2020 National Champion will earn $10,000.
